Ovidiu Șandor

Ovidiu Șandor – entrepreneur, real estate developer, and art collector; President of the Art Encounters Biennial.

Based in Timișoara, he is the founder of Mulberry Development, a company behind some of the city’s most significant urban regeneration projects, including mixed-use developments that have contributed to reshaping the local infrastructure. Alongside his business activity, he has built one of the most important private collections of contemporary art in Romania.

He is the founder and president of the Art Encounters Biennial, an initiative that has become a key platform for contemporary art in the region, bringing together international curators and artists while strengthening the local scene. His work reflects a long-term commitment to connecting cultural development with urban and economic growth.
